Come and celebrate the end of the very successful 22/23 season with awards presented across the Club for lifesaving, education, training, and competition. The bar will be open with finger food and drinks for members.

This year’s guest speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Jacqueline Costello. Jacquie has dedicated her career to best practice, innovation, and leadership in military psychology; she is passionate about ensuring that those who serve on the frontline, in barracks and deployed on operations, are supported to do so with purpose and dignity. Jacquie has commanded the Army’s 1st Psychology Unit, and currently leads the Human Performance Optimisation team at Headquarters Forces Command, Sydney.

Congratulations to our latest Bronze squad that were successful in their assessment last weekend. Please welcome our 9 new patrolling members – Mitchel Callaghan, Caitlin Jeffries, Graeme Jeffries, Fabio Pancaldi, Craig Perkins, Anthony Simpson, Cameron Smith, Alessio Specie, Charles Studden.

Last Sunday Manly Nippers hosted dozens of Ukrainian families to enjoy a surf lifesaving experience. There was surf education, surf swimming, board paddling, lots of freebies supplied by the club and our sponsors including Harris Farm. Sarah Emmott Bennett should be applauded to making this happen.

Thank you to Manly LSC Nippers and their families along with our Youth and Open competitors who provided assistance as Water Safety, Age Managers, BBQ crew and not to mention our coaches providing paddling lessons and Bronzies teaching Surf Education.

Thank you also to Rex Morris for capturing the magical moments of the day on camera.

A special thanks to our Risk and Lifesaving directors who ensured we had the right approvals completed. A truly whole club effort!

Surf life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches are now accepting nominations for their Awards of Excellence for the 22/23 season. The presentation wlll be held on Friday 30th June 2023 at Dee Why RSL commencing at 7pm.

Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches are calling for nominations to be received for the Executive Board, Standing Committees and Standing Board. If you would like to consider nominating the relevant circulars/information can be found below

Nominations for the Executive Board & Standing Committees will close on Tuesday 4th April 2023, 10am.

Nominations for the Standing Boards will close on Monday 22nd May 2023, 5pm and will be appointed at the Executive Board Meeting on May 30th 2023.

Nominations are now open for Water and Beach competitors from U10s to U14s age categories to be selected in the 2023-2024 Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches (SLSSNB) Development Squad.

The group will be engaged in several training and development activities that will commence in the off-season and run through to the end of next season. The objective of this program is to create a pathway for our dedicated and promising young competitors to stay engaged with surf lifesaving and further develop their surf sport skills.

Last Sunday the truck was loaded and departed for the long trip west across the Nullarbor for the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships. A massive thanks goes to Glenn Stone who once again was the mastermind behind organisation and logistics.

Good Luck to the team of Youth, Masters, Lifesaving and Opens as they begin their quest for National Glory but most of all have a great time with lots of laughs as Team Manly.
