PROFICIENCY
If you have not yet completed your proficiency for this season, below are list of dates that are remaining for you to complete. Please remember you need to register online through your Surf Life Saving members portal, and complete the online learning components prior to attending one of these sessions.

IRB CREW COURSE
We are currently taking registrations for an IRB Crew Course. The course will be a condensed course run over the below dates. Attendance at all sessions is a requirement.
Dates:
- Thursday 27th October 6pm-9pm
- Saturday 29th October 6:30am-11am
- Sunday 30th October 6:30am-11am
- Saturday 5th November 6:30am-11am
- Sunday 6th November – Assessment
Pre Requisites
All Sessions must be attended in full
16 years of age by the assessment day
Bronze Proficient for the 22/23 season
Financial member of Manly LSC for the 22/23 season

NEW BRONZE SQUAD
Recently we have started a new Bronze squad led by Leoni Graham and John Zdrilic. A huge Welcome to this group who have now joined as members of Manly LSC. We look forward to seeing you on Patrol soon.

LIFESAVING COMPETITION TEAM INFORMATION NIGHT – DATE CHANGE
Are You interested in joining Manly’s Lifesaving competition team this season, or keen to find out more about what’s involved?
Come along to our information night at the clubhouse on Monday October 31st at 7pm. Lifesaving Events include Champion Lifesaver, Patrol Comp or First Aid Competition.
Manly holds a long, successful history with these events, which combine physical and theory disciplines and can be entered by competitors of all skill and fitness levels from Under14’s through to Masters!
COOLANGATTA GOLD
Manly LSC had a fabulous weekend away at Coolangatta Gold. We had a team of competitors ranging in age from 12-65(ish)- so from Nippers to Masters! Manly did well across all age categories including solo competitors and teams. Huge congratulations to our solo Coolangatta competitors Liam Kelly, Harry Underhill, Rachel Kember, Grant Ellison, Tony Gilbert and Melanie Thomas.
All of the Manly Teams made it to the Podium:
GOLD U/17 Male – Keaton Ronge-Smith, Rishi Shankar and Finn McMurtry.
GOLD – 190 mixed Teams – John Platt, Barrie Feldman, Ruth Kelly and David Cansdell
GOLD – 140 Female – Melanie Brock, Camille De Carmejane, and Victoria O’Halloran
SILVER – Open Male – Marc Pasques, Jamie Stewart
SILVER – 140 Female – Jo Carmichael, Laura Newton, Liz Miller and Kat
BRONZE – Open Mixed – Ronnie Dalsgaard, Olivia Burmester
Our Youth Challengers in the Under 13’s had a great race and are the ones to watch in the future. Congratulations to Jake Chalmers, Tom Bell and Dylan Seymour.
A big thank you to Glenn Stone for everything he does and Julia Bell for amazing photos and organisation of a post-race function.
NIPPER CLUB CAPTAINS ANNOUNCED
The Manly Nippers season launched on Sunday, which also saw the election of our new JAC Captains for the 22/23 season. Congratulations to Sophie Stacker and Christopher Kwon and thank you to you both for stepping into this leadership role.
