Surf Lifesaving Australia mandates yearly proficiencies for all our lifesavers to ensure you remain well-equipped to handle the unpredictable nature of ocean environments – fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring preparedness for any emergency scenario that you & your patrol team may face throughout the year.

So, please follow the steps below to lock in a time for your 2023/24 Skills Maintenance ASAP

Remember there are 2 components to Proficiency

  • Online Proficiency Course
  • Face2Face skills Proficiency
We have scheduled 600 Face2Face proficiency slots. We know it can be tricky to fit in but please help us out and make sure you prioritise it – it’s only 1½ hours of your time.

SLS Australia requires Proficiencies to be completed by 31st Dec 2023. There will be no further dates after 9th December – all our trainers will be taking a well-deserved break by then!
