MASTERS SURF SPORTS IS COMPETITION FOR THE OVER 30’S
Manly Life Saving Club (LSC) Masters are a vibrant and inclusive group of like-minded people who share a love of the ocean. The group comprises people wanting to improve their board skills, swimming, and general fitness, as well as those who want to train for Surf Life Saving and other ocean event competitions.
The Manly LSC Masters caters to all levels in a friendly and supportive environment. For beginners or those wanting to improve their board and ocean swim skills, we offer a Dolphin session on a Wednesday morning at 6am. The Dolphin group is a great way to build confidence and skills and is run by an experienced surf club member. Boards are available from the club for these training sessions.
For competent board riders and swimmers, there is a choice of joining one of two groups. The Old and Bold meet every morning at 6am and include cardio beach fitness, strength work, swimming, and board paddling as part of their session. This group has been running for many years and is always a great laugh and fun way to start the day.
For those wanting to train for competitions and improve their overall speed and fitness, we have experienced competitors who run training sessions on a Wednesday and Friday morning at 6am. The focus is on refining speed, paddling fitness, agility, and skills to efficiently catch waves during competition.
Manly LSC Masters prides itself on its successful group camaraderie and friendships that often develop due to its unique inclusive, and supportive nature. When not in the water or on the beach, Manly LSC Masters enjoy socialising in different settings through music, club events, and other activities offered at a social level.
All members have completed their Surf Life Saving Australia Bronze Medallion, and this is a requirement to be able to join and participate in any of these training groups.
