Age Managers
Age Managers are parent volunteers who plan & deliver our Nipper program. You don’t need any particular experience to become one – just enthusiasm and an interest in creating a safe environment on the beach – running our fun learning programs that encourage and develop our Nippers surf skills and ultimately supporting them on their path to becoming young lifesavers.
Our Age Managers all complete the Surf Lifesaving Age Manager qualification which develops their skills & knowledge to effectively facilitate Nipper activities. It also guides them through all the resource materials created by SLS to support them in that role – there are detailed activity plans for each Age group.

Age Manager Online Courses
Under SLS – Age Manager courses you will need to enrol in both the Child Safe Awareness Course which takes about 20 mins to complete and the Age Manager course which takes about an hour. And then quickly watch the Age Manager Proficiency Video for 23/24.
Age Manager Proficiency
Each year all Age Managers need to watch a short Video to update their proficiency for the year. This can be found on your SLS Members portal under:
